Andrew Crider
Founder/Executive CoachReady to elevate your leadership, your team, and your organization?
I’m Andrew Crider, executive coach and founder of Altum Executive Coaching.
My background includes 25+ years of senior leadership in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force and 13 years in high-reliability manufacturing operations. I partner with executives and senior leaders to sharpen judgment, build resilient teams, and lead with clarity in complex, high-consequence environments.
My Story
My leadership journey was forged in environments where decisions carry real consequences. I spent more than two decades in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, serving in senior enlisted leadership roles aboard fast-attack and guided missile submarines. In these high-stakes settings, clarity, discipline, and trust were not leadership ideals—they were operational necessities. Leading under pressure meant developing people who could think clearly, communicate precisely, and execute reliably when it mattered most.
After retiring from the Navy, I transitioned into manufacturing operations leadership, where I spent over a decade leading teams in complex, high-reliability industrial environments. While the setting changed, the leadership challenges did not. I saw firsthand how misalignment, unclear expectations, and decision fatigue undermine performance—even in technically capable organizations. I also saw how disciplined leadership, accountability, and trust consistently elevate teams and outcomes.
Altum Executive Coaching was founded to bring these hard-earned lessons to today’s executives and emerging leaders. My work is grounded in real-world leadership experience—not theory alone—and focused on helping leaders strengthen judgment, sharpen focus, and lead with calm authority in complexity. I partner with clients who understand that sustainable performance starts with the leader, and who are committed to doing the work required to lead at a higher level.
My Values & Beliefs
Integrity
We lead with honesty, accountability, and consistency—doing what is right, especially when decisions are difficult or inconvenient. Trust is built through aligned values, disciplined action, and unwavering ethical standards.
Compassion / Empathy
Effective leadership begins with understanding people. We practice empathy by listening deeply, recognizing human complexity, and leading in ways that respect dignity while still holding high standards.
Selflessness
Leadership is not about personal status or recognition—it is about responsibility. We prioritize the success, growth, and well-being of others, knowing that strong organizations are built by leaders who put the mission and their people first.
Service
We believe leadership is fundamentally an act of service. Our purpose is to support, develop, and elevate leaders and teams so they can perform at their best and create lasting impact within their organizations.
My Approach
My approach to executive coaching is grounded in clarity, discipline, and practical application. I work with leaders who operate in complex environments where uncertainty, competing priorities, and high expectations are constant. Rather than adding noise or generic frameworks, I help leaders simplify their thinking, sharpen judgment, and focus on the decisions and behaviors that have the greatest impact on performance.
Coaching engagements are structured, intentional, and tailored to the leader and the organization. We focus on strengthening decision-making, communication, accountability, and emotional composure—capabilities that allow leaders to remain steady under pressure and effective in moments that matter most. Every engagement is rooted in real-world leadership experience and aligned to measurable outcomes, not abstract theory.
The goal is sustainable leadership effectiveness. Executive clients and emerging leaders develop the confidence and discipline to lead with calm authority, build trust with their teams, and drive consistent results over time. My role is not to direct or prescribe, but to challenge thinking, reinforce standards, and serve as a trusted partner as leaders elevate both their own performance and the performance of those they lead.
